The southern Coquina Beach Boat Ramp is perfectly located and offers access to some of the best boating locations in all of Florida.
BOATING NIRVANA
What makes this ramp especially nice, is its proximity to so many beautiful boating locations. Close by, you’ll find JEWFISH KEY, BEER CAN ISLAND SANDBAR, PASSAGE KEY and EGMONT KEY. In addition, the short distance to Longboat Pass and it’s surrounding islands and flats make this ramp ideal for fishing access.
A GREAT WAY TO KEEP YOUR TRAILER TAG VISIBLE AND SECURE
RAMP LOCATION
The ramp is located just north of Longboat Pass on Bradenton Beach. It can be reached by driving through Bradenton Beach or Longboat Key. It can get busy during the summer or holiday weekends however, I visited during a Sunday in August and shot the pictures you see in this post. Surprisingly, it wasn’t busy at all!

BOAT WAKES
One thing you should be aware of are boat wakes from passing boats. These wakes can reach the inside of the boat ramp so pay attention to big boats that may be about to pass by when loading or unloading.
