Treasure Shores Park is a surprisingly great location in Vero Beach, Florida. No crowds, a beautiful setting and lots of amenities make this beach one of the best.

NO CROWDS

One thing about the Vero Beach area is there isn’t a lot of publicly accessible beaches in relation to the size of the island. Most of the oceanside portion of the island is full of amazing neighborhoods with their own private beach accesses. Consequently, it’s almost impossible to reach the beach unless you use a county park. However, the few parks can get crowded as a result. One nice thing about Treasure Shores Park is it’s very quiet and has a private feel.

BEAUTIFUL SETTING

Treasure Shores is beautiful and unspoiled, making it a real pleasure to enjoy. When you look back towards the dunes you won’t find high rise condos, rather, you’ll find beautiful palm trees, sea grapes and other native, tropical flora. A real surprise was the beauty and natural shade at the picnic area across the parking lot. More on that below.

LOTS OF AMENITIES

The amenities at Treasure Shores Park include multiple beach paths, showers for rinsing, very nice restrooms and a surprisingly cool picnic area and playground set amongst some beautiful oak trees behind the parking lot. The only thing missing is the beach is unguarded and the beach paths don’t have boardwalks. However, a nice, additional benefit is there’s not cost for parking.

GREAT BEACH

The beach is very typical of most of Florida’s east coast. Light brown, deep, granular sand (easy to clean off), clean water and strong waves can be found here. On the day I filmed there was more seaweed than usual due to a recent storm that blew it ashore. The beaches on the east coast of Florida are nice because you can play in bigger waves and even surf if the conditions are right, two things that aren’t very common on the gulf coast.
