Peanut Island
Riviera Beach, FLPeanut Island is one of the most popular boating locations in the Palm Beach area.
AMAZING LOCATION
Peanut Island is located inside the mouth of Palm Beach Inlet on the east coast of Florida. Because of the good tidal flow and the proximity of the coast to the gulf stream, the area has some of the clearest water in all of the state.
BEACH AND SANDBAR
One nice perk of boating to the island is you have options. The first option is to anchor the boat along one of the many, beautiful beaches around the island. Or, you could simply anchor on the big sandbar located to the north.

AMENITIES ON THE ISLAND
A benefit to anchoring on the beach is you can use the island’s facilities. They include restrooms, grills, outdoor showers, nature trails and palm tree shade.

HOW TO GET HERE
There are two ways to get here. One way is by private boat and the other is via the park shuttle. Both are good options but the best is by private boat (of course). I trailered my boat to Lake Park Marina and used their public ramp. The cost was $10 and there was plenty of parking. You had to use an app for parking which was slight hassle. From there it was a short ride south to the island; maybe two miles.
