Sea Grape Beach is a fantastic Boca Grande beach that is one of three within Gasparilla Island State Park in beautiful Boca Grande, Florida.

GASPARILLA ISLAND STATE PARK

Gasparilla Island State Park is, yet another, beautiful park managed by the State of Florida. The Park consists of three main locations, Sand Spur Beach (Lighthouse Beach), Sea Grape Beach and Lighthouse Park. There are five different parking lots facilitating these areas. The best two beaches are Sea Grape Beach and Sand Spur Beach. The Lighthouse Beach is better for grilling, fishing and sightseeing as the currents that run through the pass are very strong.

BEAUTIFUL BEACH SETTING

Sea Grape Beach has an unspoiled setting with beautiful, white, fine sand, calm waves and amazing water. You won’t find any high rise buildings here nor will you find crowds of people. It’s a great beach for relaxing and “getting away”.

LIMITED AMENITIES

Sea Grape Beach doesn’t have many amenities. Here, you won’t find lifeguards, picnic areas, fixed restrooms or showers. However, the beach access is a nice ramp and food can be found nearby at South Beach restaurant. Finally, the cost to park is $3 and there’s a toll of $6 to go over the bridge to get to the island.

BOCA GRANDE

Boca Grande is my favorite beach town in all of Florida and, although popular, is kind of a hidden gem in Florida. The town of Boca Grande is located on Gasparilla Island at the northern part of Charlotte Harbor. It’s a tropical paradise that’s a Mecca for tarpon fisherman and boaters. It’s similar to what Key West must’ve looked like 75 years ago (IMO).
