As someone who’s done this for over two years, the benefits of blogging over age 50 have been surprising and inspiring. Should you consider it? Read below to find out.
WITH AGE COMES WISDOM
One of the primary benefits of blogging over age 50 is you have a lot of knowledge to share. That knowledge, is likely, a big benefit to your readers and is the primary reason they’ll continue to listen to you over others. There’s no substitute for knowledge and experience.
Sadly, many people are stuck in unfulfilling jobs and never tap their passion. Blogging over age 50 gives many a fulfilling outlet and allows them to work on what they love instead of settling for mediocrity. Furthermore, your love and passion almost always translates into an excellent end result. It’s a shame that so many people have incredible talents or knowledge that they never share. Blogging over age 50 is a way to change that.
Not only is blogging over 50 fulfilling, it’s also highly rewarding. Blogging unlocks our hidden talents and pushes us to get out of our comfort zone and improve personally and professionally. Furthermore, it forces us to learn new technology, enhance our research capabilities, become more creative, stimulate our minds, become more interactive, and grow financially.
NOT PHYSICALLY DEMANDING (PROVIDES PASSIVE INCOME)
One of the biggest benefits of blogging is that it’s not physically demanding. In other words, it doesn’t require physical labor or long hours standing on your feet. While it takes a lot of upfront effort to start a blog, eventually, it’s like a freight train that starts moving. It may take a while to start, but once it’s going it’s hard to stop. Eventually, your side hustle may even provide you with a significant retirement income that allows you to earn income while traveling or doing whatever you want. Furthermore, you’ve now created a diversified income stream and a marketable asset that you control.
Believe it or not, blogging can be extremely lucrative and many people blog full-time. The key to making lots of money from blogging is to have lots of traffic. The more people read your blog, the more monthly page views you’ll have. The more monthly page views, the more money you can make from advertising, affiliate marketing, and digital products. Some of the most successful bloggers earn millions of dollars per year and many bloggers earn tens of thousands of dollars annually.
