Whitney Beach is located on the gulf coast of Florida on northern Longboat Key. It’s a beautiful, peaceful, uncrowded, beach that is situated within a natural surrounding.

As you walk over the boardwalk you’ll notice something pretty unique; flip flop/shoe storage! I’ve never seen this at any of the other beaches I’ve visited so far. It’s a great idea and one that you’ll want to take advantage of for sure!

BEAUTIFUL SAND & WATER

Like most of the beaches between Clearwater and North Captiva, the west coast of Florida has some amazing water. Whitney Beach is located within this area and the water won’t disappoint. Typically, flat and calm, it is perfect for relaxing, floating and playing with the kids! Water temps are cold in the winter (60’s) and warm up to the high 80’s during the summer.

PARKING & FACILITIES

There is ample, free, parking located along the street and within the designated beach lot. In addition, there are no restrooms or showers on site. That being said, there are a few great restaurants nearby that can save the day if needed. As a result, plan accordingly.

Whitney Beach is a beautiful beach that shouldn’t be missed. It’s a great place to spend the day and a great place to live the lazy life.
