BEACH
The beach is beautiful, vast, and unspoiled. The Gulf Coast is also known for calm waves to this beach gets epic with respect to swimming and water clarity. The day I visited the surf was actually pretty big so the water wasn’t nearly as nice as it normally is.

BOAT ACCESS
Access to Shell Island is done by boat. SUP’s and Kayak’s will have a tough time making it there due to boat traffic and strong currents. The easiest way to visit the island is use your own boat or utilize the Shell Island Shuttle located next to the Grand Lagoon Bridge.
I loved Shell Island and I can’t wait to go back when the water is calm and crystal clear.
