North Shell Road Beach
Siesta Key, FLNorth Shell Road is a residential road on the north end of Siesta Key in Sarasota, FL. Unlike the main, public beach that gets all the press, North Shell Beach is small and laid-back and is perfect for watching boats go by, snorkeling or catching bait fish with the kids.
LOW-KEY & RELAXING
The beach is beautiful, quiet, and offers great swimming, good snorkeling and is a great place to take kids and throw a cast net or just relax and watch the numerous boats go by. There isn’t much sand at high tide so the beach can seem crowded with just a few people however, there’s still enough room to spread out and relax while the boat wakes make waves that soak your feet.
MINIMAL PARKING
North Shell Rd. beach doesn’t have any amenities and parking is limited to 10-15 spots along the road. As a result, I advise that you arrive early.
North Shell Road is a quiet, semi-secret, beach that’s a great alternative to Siesta Key’s main beach and is a wonderful place to spend the day and makes a phenomenal lazy location.
