Kelly Park (Rock Springs)

Kelly Park at Rock Springs is an amazingly, beautiful park. The park is located in the town of Apopka, FL — just outside Orlando and is an absolute “must-do” if you like to experience “old Florida”.

AMENITIES GALORE

The park has a lot to offer within it’s 355 acres. You can spend the day swimming and floating down the spring or renting one of the many campsites and enjoying the weekend. There are also nice restrooms, pavilions for rent and a concession stand to satisfy your hunger. The park charges $3-$5 per vehicle to enter and you can bring your own tubes or rent them at the Rock Springs Bar & Grill just up the road.

THE SPRING

The spring is one of the most beautiful springs I’ve ever seen. The Rock Springs head begins from a cave and flows over many rocks that make up a pristine river. You’ll want to bring inner tubes because the water gets very shallow over the rocks so you want to be on top of the water when you’re floating (at least, for that part). Snorkeling is also a great thing to do with tons to see. The water is a cool, 68 degrees year round — making it an ideal place to be during the hot, Florida summer. The river wraps around the corner and opens up into a huge, basin which is perfect for playing and cooling off in the water.

Kelly Park at Rock Springs is a great place to visit if you’re in the Orlando area and want to enjoy nature and visit “old Florida”. It’s an amazing lazy location!
