Juno Beach Surf Beach

Juno Beach, FL

Three of the gems on the east coast of Florida are the towns of Hobe Sound, Jupiter and Juno Beach. This post will focus on a great lazy location in Juno Beach called “Juno Beach Surf Beach”.  The beach is located at A1A and Marcinski Rd. just north of the fishing pier.

BAHAMAS-LIKE WATER

One of the greatest things about the beaches in Palm Beach County is their proximity to the tropical gulf stream that flows just offshore.  I think it’s the proximity of the stream that makes the water in this area extra clear.  I’ve been in the water numerous times throughout the year where the water is crystal clear – Bahamas clear!  I love it and so will you!

SURF

Aside from the awesome water clarity, this area can also have surf, making the perfect combination of tropical water and fun waves to play in.  The waves are most common in the winter months when cold fronts drop down and the wind picks up and also during the hurricane season when tropical disturbances are offshore.  Besides that, the water can be surprisingly calm.

COCONUT PALMS

Along with the turquoise water, the beach has a very tropical and natural feel.  The tall dunes are covered in sea grapes and topped with tons of coconut palms.  The sand on the beach is a light brown and can get hot in the summer (bring your flip flops) but it’s soft and granular and it feels good on your feet when you’re in the water.

AMENITIES

There is one lifeguard tower just south of the Marcinski Rd. entrance while the beach to the north doesn’t have them.  Dogs are allowed on the beach so keep that in mind if you’re a dog-lover or not and every access point seems to have a freshwater shower for rinsing off.

PARKING

Parking appears plentiful but still fills up regularly.  You can park along A1A or across the street at Ocean Cay Park or in the lot off Marcinski Rd.   There are restrooms located in the lot off Marcinski as well as at Ocean Cay Park.

If you are looking for a great beach in the Jupiter area make sure to stop by Juno Beach Surf Beach for a great lazy location!
