Anna Maria Island is one of the nicest beach towns in all of Florida. It’s unspoiled feel and low-key vibe makes it the perfect place to visit.
LOCATION
Anna Maria Island is located west of Bradenton at the southern side of the mouth of Tampa Bay. The island consists of three towns; Bradenton Beach, Holmes Beach and Anna Maria. In my opinion, Holmes Beach and Anna Maria are the best and where I’d recommend you stay.
BEAUTIFUL BEACH
The main draw of Anna Maria Island is the beautiful beach. Its white, powdery sand and crystal-clear water combined with an unspoiled backdrop of tropical foliage and adorable cottages make for an unforgettable setting.
QUAINT TOWN
Unlike a lot of beach towns in Florida, Anna Maria Island feels like a close-knit, community. The town’s focal point is Pine Avenue where you’ll find a few restaurants and shopping and the famous, Rod & Reel Pier & Restaurant just to the north.
BOATING
This part of Florida is one of the nicest for boating. The reason it’s so attractive is because of the variety and beauty. For example, you can relax off a pristine beach or sandbar or experience great fishing in the pass, flats or offshore.
